Day 01 : Srinagar
Meet upon arrival & transfer to deluxe houseboats - Lotus Retreat in Dal Lake. Enjoy a nice lunch. Rest of the day free to relax. Sunset Shikaras cruise in backwaters. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 02 : Srinagar
Morning after breakfast sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visit Nishat Bagh built by Asaf Khan, the brother -in-law of Emperor Jahangir in 1632 A.D., and Shalimar Bagh built by Jahangir for his wife Empress Nur Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background. Late afternoon visit Shankaracharya temple perched on the hilltop with lovely views of the valley and Old City. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 03 : Dachigam National Park
Early morning drive to Dachigam National Park. A day for jungle safari through the park. Lunch at forest rest house. Possibility to see Black Bear, Hangul - Kashmir Stag, birds, butterflies and trout fish at the Hatchery. Evening, back to Srinagar. Enroute visit the Royal Springs Chashma Shahi. Overnight at Houseboat.
Day 04 : Srinagar to Gulmarg
Full day trip to Gulmarg (The Meadows of Flowers) 2730 meters, above sea level. The distance of 56kms will be covered in about 2.5 hrs. Gulmarg has the best ski slopes in India and one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You can also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Gulmarg
Day free. Enjoy Nature Walks, Horse Riding & Gondola Cable Car Ride. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 : Gulmarg to Pahalgam
After breakfast drive directly to Pahalgam. The total distance of about 152kms, will be covered in about 5hrs. Enroute, visit the Saffron Fields of Pampore, Awantipura Ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by the King Awantivarman) and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Drive through the Pine Forests to Pahalgam (The Valley of Shepherds) and transfer to hotel. After lunch, walk along pony trails with a magnificent view of the mountains. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 : Pahalgam to Srinagar
Drive back to Srinagar from Pahalgam takes about 3 hours / 95 kms, via old rural villages and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake, visiting floating Vegetable Gardens. Overnight at houseboat.
Day 08 : Srinagar to Delhi
Morning free to relax. Afternoon transfer to airport, taking back the sweet memories of travelling through the paradise!!
